Amazon, the online shopping mogul, has come under fire over recent weeks. Gamers across the UK are complaining about the inability to purchase certain games. Recently, Amazon lists FIFA 16, GTA 5, Assassin's Creed, more as "exclusive to Prime members".

This means that for big hitters like GTA 5, FIFA 16, Rainbow Six: Siege, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, and others, only Prime members are allowed to to buy them from the retailer directly.

You can still buy them from third party sellers on, but Amazon themselves will not let you buy the games from them unless you pay £79 for a year's Amazon Prime subscription.

As self-defeating as that seems it's something has been doing with various entertainment products, such as music albums, for a while now. Although these video game restrictions for the UK only seem to have come into play last night.

They were first spotted by Videogamer, who received the following statement from

"One of the many benefits of Amazon Prime is access to exclusive selection on a number of great products. Customers who are not Prime members can sign-up for a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime, or they can purchase those items from a Marketplace seller."

This can be seen in Amazon UK as well as Amazon US, and likely other locations.
