digital countsThe news comes courtesy of US firm Super Data who collected point-of-sale data from nearly 400,000 UK gamers for the month of September, which as we know was FIFA 16's launch month. As platform holders and publishers alike, don't like to release this kind of data, this is the best we've got in terms of a digital chart.

The biggest news was that FIFA 16 more than doubled the revenue of the 2nd placed entry Destiny, which itself launched its own Taken King DLC. The figures include both digital sales of the games, and any microtransactions such as FIFA points.

Here are the Top 10 UK Digital Games for September

1.   FIFA 16 (EA) £4,552,075

2.   Destiny (Activision) £2,230,087

3.   Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (Activision)    £1,798,016

4.   Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Konami)    £1,507,125

5.   Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar)    £1,166,386

6.   Minecraft (Sony/Microsoft)    £568,629

7.   Call of Duty: Black Ops II (Activision)    £387,824

9.   The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (CD Projekt Red)    £315,516

10. Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 (Konami)    £238,638

Remember this is just UK data... from one calendar month.

This news goes hand in hand with EA's overall Q2 results where they confirmed that digital revenue across their portfolio of games rose around 6% to $480 million, now comprising about 42% of total revenue. Quite a transition.

So in short. You're all still buying FIFA Points.
